No matter what the current season’s trends are, adding pieces that lighten up the room are always in style. Here at Combine 9 we are happy to now offer white washed wood in addition to our many other new and reclaimed wood options. Painting wood furniture white is one way to brighten a room, but the drawback is that paint is opaque, so it covers and masks the natural grain of the wood. Unlike painting wood white, whitewashing wood allows the grain and texture of the wood, that we at Combine 9 love so much, to show through.

Although we personally think whitewashed industrial furniture can be added to any home, we especially think it would make a great touch to a beach house, or other beach themed home, to add just the right amount of industrial vintage without distracting from the beach theme. We are extremely excited at the endless possibilities of this new finish. Perfectly paired with steel, this finish would look perfect on a media console, coffee table, desk, or dining room table. For more contrast, pair with a dark colored wall or flooring. For a more bohemian look, pair with bright flowing colors and patterns.
