This modern industrial TV Stand is a beautiful TV console made of steel and some very interesting reclaimed vintage wood. This amazing wood comes from a salvaged barge that was destroyed as a result of the 2011 Japanese tsunami. The barge was built in 1968 and was anchored in Mission Bay (San Diego, CA). The tsunami traveled thousands of miles from Japan, hit the California coast, and caused the barge to break loose from its mooring. Luckily, this beautiful wood was reclaimed and we’re now using it to make custom furniture. The wood has one of the most beautiful patinas we’ve ever seen. The colors are incredibly varied with rich tones of red, green, turquoise, white, brown, and more. No two pieces are the same. On a side note, we have a video of the barge being destroyed by the tidal surge and would be happy to give you the link.

There are countless numbers of ways this piece can be utilized, but some include a coffee table, sofa table, console table, or even an aquarium stand.

The dimensions for the rustic and unique-looking stand in this listing are (approximately) 40″ W x 15″ D x 14″ H. It can be made any height, up to 20″ at no extra charge. Add this interesting piece to your media center and enjoy it for many years to come.

NOTE: The reclaimed barge wood will vary significantly and can have many imperfections in it, including, but not limited to nail holes, differences in texture, splits, cracks, etc.. This is what gives it its natural beauty!
